With the establishment of 4 cycle sprint racing in the form of the World Formula class at PKRA and Musselman Kart Circuit going well and growing it looks very good for affordable sprint kart racing in Az.. The LO 206 engine ( Briggs ) is in the midst of gaining wide spread use , primarily due to it's tight rules package . Since PKRA has allowed 4 cycles to use the short , commonly called " kids course " the LO 206 would make a great addition to the program as they can run with the WF's but score separately . While I personally prefer the WF I will be competing in a few races out of state with a 206. If anyone is interested in getting the 206 sprint class going in Az. please contact me @ surflacotta@gmail.com. This is a VERY affordable package to purchase and run.

"Affordable" and "sprint racing" don't seem to go together but Kevin and I found out that it can if you let it. That was really the reason I started this site to promote 4 cycle sprint racing but I don't want to leave out speedway racing. I picked up two karts over the last 5-6 months. One a 99 and one a 06. Obviously I like the 06 better but I have ran competitively with both karts finishing in the top 3 with each one. Last race a P1 Bernie and I probably had one of if not the best battle I have ever had in a kart. The crowd would have been impressed if the battle was for the lead and not 2nd (thanks Kevin for stinking up that race). Anyways you can A) have fun B) be competitive in the 4cycle classes with inexpensive used karts. LO206, WF or clone race what you can afford and have fun. I know Musselman would welcome a LO206 class if people wanted to race it there. They are very accommodating to new classes
